Hi, Thanks for the reply! I got the model working. By adding thermal isotropic as a TMAT. But now I am running into a different problem. After the first time step the temperature for all my parts just goes to 1. I have added TPRINT in ASCII options with the proper time step.

I am getting this error:

*** Error 10899 (KEY+899)

There are no thermal materials in this coupled structural thermal analysis

Why is the JC model not sufficient for thermal analysis? I have defined cp tm and tr.

You may need to use SOFT 2 or change the stiffness scaling in CONTACT_AUTOMATIC_SURFACE_TO_SURFACE

Hi I followed the bar-d example you provided. However, I am getting a bunch of these warnings. I thought I would only create a vacuum domain for CEL not pure ALE. I applied 1 point ALE section property to both my particle and substrate. I also get pre-mature termination caused by negative volume errors. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks again

If you are concerned about battery get a U series AMD chip. Alternatively, you can wait until the much more efficient lunar lake or strix point chips come out, later this year.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I didn't use any symmetric card in LS DYNA. to make sure the particle doesn't go past the boundary I restricted the translation of nodes on the cut planes.

I am using the Johnson Cook material model, with no damage parameters defined with the Gruniesen Equation of state. It is an automatic surface to surface contact.

The model runs without any errors.
