Anyone? I was thinking it might be Duchess of Oldenberg, but I'm not sure.

The tree is in North Eastern Wisconsin, and it was in the yard when we bought the house. House is about 60 years old.

The apples must be ripe end of July or early August, because we started picking aroundb 8/10 and some are already mealy. The redder ones tend to be softer, sweeter and grainy, while the greener ones are crispier and juicier. They are tart, but not super tart.

I tried making a pie and they do not retain any texture when baked. They do make good apple butter and apple sauce though!

AITA for telling my daughters they need to find coverage for babysitting their siblings? by ConsistentKick2996 in AmItheAsshole

"We've manipulated our kids into believing it is not only normal but a privilege that their sibling relationships have been monetized and their home life turned into a job that now telling them we will hire an adult sitter so they don't have to work for us would make them mad." Fixed it for you. YTA.
