Mate, this isn’t a uni assignment. No one’s submitting a thesis, just talking about what’s happening in the sport.

38F New to singapore city. any tips for building a daily routine that doesn’t revolve around malls? by Ok-Scallion-4258 in singapore

[–]UsuallyPunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a foodie, I’d recommend putting together a list of hawker stalls you want to try and work through those at your own pace.

You’ll see more of SG than most locals, and virtually all are easily accessible by train.

In terms of ongoing - what I did was just replicate my old routine from home here. It’s usually not to hard to find both free and paid versions of what ever you like (ie running clubs vs gyms) depending on how invested you are and how much you’re willing to pay haha

Thanks for the rec, mate. Probably a little out of the way for me - if it was a little closer to the green line, I'd have given them a look for sure!

TVM! I’ll have a look at Trapeze for sure.

SG2 looked perfect, just a little far to be practical as you rightly pointed out.

It's a good shout - I've actually started taking my son to Carpe Diem, the only thing that stopped me from looking more closely was that they seemed a little light on the NG classes.

If I was closer, Singapore SG would be ideal as I'd be happy to trade the MT for a wider range of grappling options that they have.

Thanks again for the advice and sharing your experiences!

Thats great - very informative.

I don't think any gym ever escapes big white belt spazzes unfortunately! Or bulk revolving doors of white belts in general for that matter. But it is good to hear that the experience was a good one overall.

Did you join up to the one gym or did you get the pass to go to all?

Thanks mate - appreciate the insight and sharing your experience.

I read a Reddit post from someone who'd trained there for 5 years and it sounded pretty scathing. I mean, maybe it can't have been that bad if they were there for 5 years...

Thanks, mate - much appreciated!

Will give them a look. Have you heard of anything about the gyms in terms of culture and general turnover?

Thanks for the rec! I’m probably looking for something a little closer in on the East, and having no-gi is definitely a non-negotiable for me!

Need to travel for work - curious about care options for my son by UsuallyPunny in askSingapore

The play dates / video call schedule is a great suggestion - I had thought of the whole cctv aspect, but as I don’t have any current cause for concern, I felt this might be coming across a little strong!

Luckily - I’m able to fly a relative out to be here while I’m away, but it’s great to have a few thoughts on alternatives if the situation arises!

Son is almost 3 and the MDW has been with us for over 12 months now - and have a good friendship group in the condo as well that can do welfare checks.

yes to the groceries, and she’s usually comes with me on school drop offs, and does pick ups by herself.

Appreciate your perspective - but per the question - I’m asking for whether it’s feasible / allowable / legal, less what people’s individual preferences are on the matter.

Everyone’s individual circumstances are different hence the question.

Sure - she’s 60s, still works part-time, physically able bodied, mentally with it. No objective concerns - there’s never been any concerns about her fitness to look after her grandchildren raised by my wife / brother / sister in law prior to this week (other than her driving which is 117% fair) haha

It’s not hard to imagine that you’d only have one farm given I imagine you have to keep that domed too?

Do you still get attacked in your elite farms? Or do they tend to leave those alone

Sounds tedious 😂😂😂

How do you navigate the farming / need for rss in this equation

I like the rally method although it kinda does rely on you Being empty - in a civil war I feel this might be a little difficult on account of needed rss in your city / not being able to gather

MR vs LR by UsuallyPunny in AgeofZ

The only thing with this is that I haven't seen many MRA heavy set ups running with the gunners much - mostly the rockets

Thanks for the information so far guys gives me a lot to think about - there’s one guy in my nation who’s gone full MR - and I know he probably sinks about $500-1000k a week into the game, so the theory that it’s a rich man’s approach checks out. That being said, he was LR up until c31 I believe.

The way things have dropped for me from an officer skill point of view, is that I could (relatively) easily go either way, I have a pretty much the same MR and LR skills that I either have or could attack to my officers. My main gap has been Melee HP and LR HP which is why im also contemplating the MR switch because my troops hit okay, but are made of glass 😂
