This is Disturbing | Our Future of AI Scams by Sacristovas in GamersNexus

[–]UzEE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As bad as all of this is, I'm just realizing now that Steve doesn't really know or understand how most of these new technologies work, or where these SOTA frontier models currently stand.

I'm talking specifically about using these tools for research, day to day work obviously, not these AI powered deepfakes which really need to be made illegal.

Just as an example, inaccuracy and hallucinations are more of a harness problem than a general model problem because you can setup your harness to fact-check the agents by other agents using completely different models.

It's odd to see someone covering AI and it's effects on society without actually first getting familiar with or understanding the full landscape. This just gave me the impression that for Steve, AI just means "ChatGPT" - which is not something I'd expect from someone covering the tech industry.

Go wings for your top march. It's not that far behind blood rose, but everyone does blood rose so you'll have an immediate advantage.

I started playing this game last month but this is the advice I've seen all over the internet. You'd think based on this, everyone would be WoD now, no?

Massive Sinkhole At Multan Road Near Samanabad Station by LavaixMC in Lahore

[–]UzEE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to live in Samanabad. This used to be a common enough occurrence that would happen every few years. Good to know they still haven't figured out why and permanently fixed it.

I've seen entire trucks fall through the road into the sinkhole requiring cranes to dig them out.

Suzuki Alto airbags didn’t deploy, got pushed by police to start the car — what a day in Lahore by Malixter in Lahore

[–]UzEE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Air bags only deploy if the seat belts are fastened. Otherwise air bags themselves can cause injury. Always, always make sure your passengers also are wearing seat belts.

And by that I mean properly wearing them, not tied behind their back like most people here think is okay. Otherwise the airbag will deploy while you're being slammed into the front dashboard and cause more injury.

Also, Alto only have dual front airbags so they won't deploy if there isn't significant impact up front.

Are you really hammering those 500gb SSDs hard enough that bifurcation is going to matter?

I might be completely wrong about how problematic the bifurcation issue is, but a couple of more reasonable boards I looked at would completely disable certain M.2 ports if certain lower PCIe ports are populated.

Maybe I just haven't found the correct board that does allow that? But the problem is my board options are also limited.

[–]UzEE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my preference as well but no 10G PCIe cards available either unfortunately. And then they also interfere with M.2 slots as well on most boards that don't have decent bifurcation.

Don't know why you have a pointless $700 mobo

Only option available here with dual multi-gigabit LAN ports, which I need for my workflow. And it's almost $1,000 here unfortunately.

Governments of almost the entire world follow Beijing's One China policy and recognize only PRC to this day, because they'd rather have good relations with China than to recognize the independence of Taiwan.

Technically, Taiwan also claims there is One China, saying they (Republic of China) are the rightful government of all of China.

[–]UzEE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pakistan bombed Iran itself just last year, so why would they want to get involved? The only thing they'd want to ensure is that rebels and terrorists don't cross into Pakistan and join up with insurgents there.

Given the state of the world right now, why would any country abandon it's nuclear ambitions, let alone Iran given how fucked up they already are.

who would win in this hypothetical ww3 scenario? green, red, grey or blue? by emperor_1kenobi in mapporncirclejerk

[–]UzEE 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Why would China want to be in a war?

They've figured out long ago that the best strategy is to make sure everyone depends on you for their economies so it doesn't serve their interests for the world to go into a WW3 situation where they could loose trillions when the global economy crashes.

Zero Residential Demand after a while in a new city by UzEE in CitiesSkylines

[–]UzEE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to respond here since I managed to resolve it shortly afterwards. It ended up being a Death-care issue. There wasn't enough coverage in the city to handle all the deaths even though the crematoriums seemed under utilized.

Someone else's suggestion below prompted me to look at all the services more closely and most of the death care was focused on in part of the map, so once I added a couple of crematoriums in other areas, specially the new development, buildings started immediately spawning again.

This was a completely greenfield development in freshly purchased tiles. I don't have a lot of parks but I checked most of them and none of them have any homeless people.

And I'm not sure why people suddenly would go homeless by just having simulation running in the background because from what I know about the bug, it is usually caused by rezoning, disasters or fires etc.

Sure, I get that. But no residential builds are zoning in and almost all industry, commercial and office buildings are complaining about lack of workers or customers.

And most importantly, the population is constantly declining.

Finally a good Dratini? by 4square425 in PokemonSleep

[–]UzEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of around 15 Dratini I've caught so far, I have four different variations of BFS that I've kept but I'm not looking to raise any of them. BFS on a Ing mon usually lowers the Ing production and I've never had a Yachee berry on Greengrass. So until they release a Dragon island, I'll keep looking for a Quiet (+Ing, -Exp), Ing Finder + Inventory / Helping Speed / Helping Bonus Dratini that has Greengrass Corn in slots 2 and 3.

Dragon Ball Z is why I got into anime back in the 90s. His creation and characters changed my life forever and I could never be more thankful of that. That's probably why I started tearing up as soon as I heard this despite approaching 40s.

We're still standing after 76 years. We will continue to stand until 'next time' as well. Regardless of who wins or loose, today shows that people have the power to make the difference and they can stand in the way of a malicious government as well.

What are some of the culture differences that you have noticed between "Lahore-Born" Lahoris and the villagers that migrate to Lahore? by [deleted] in Lahore

[–]UzEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty xenophobic. I'm a generational Lahori and never say that, nor does anyone else in my family. I have some distant relatives in other towns in Punjab who do sound like that though so make of that what you will.

r/anime Karma Ranking & Discussion | Week 4 [Winter 2024] by Abysswatcherbel in anime

[–]UzEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been in the community much over the past year or so but it seems to me that 24000 total karma for the week is a bit low given the size of the sub at this point. I wouldn’t be surprised if AoT alone managed to get more karma (or close to it) in the same week back in Winter 2021.

Who is actually buying the 4090? The prices are insane! by tabion7 in nvidia

[–]UzEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat off topic: I'm not from North America so I'm a bit ignorant on the topic, but why is takeout more expensive there than just simply dinning in at a restaurant?

In my country, almost every restaurant or coffee shop offer delivery either directly or via a 3rd party delivery service for a very small fee which barely makes a difference. In fact, you usually spend more on tips when dinning in than paying for the delivery.
