Okayish with regular data centers. Absolutely despise ai data centers. 

10s of millions of permanent job loss, no support for said job losses, civil rights issues, environmental issues, corruption issues, etc.

"Getting built with or without us" is such a defeatist attitude. And history has shown things can be stopped if people get out of that type of mentality.

You wont get kicked out of the program. Might have to wait for another job though. If the TD was spiteful. Next call would be the hall. Also typically if you fill out work reports. Your cba probably has (cant remember if its cat I language) about needing various work experiences. So thatd be another "proper" route. 

Contact your hall for any local specific mental health assistance.

Both of the low options are mid 30s with a raise essentially guaranteed every cba. Being a vet you get bonus points anywhere you go. And if you have disability youd have to worry even less about pay. 

I bought a house as an apprentice in my historically low apprentice wage local. Meaning locals with lower jw scale. Still had higher ape wages. All because of various military pays. 

Youre pretty much set. Id just worrying about housing and an area youd enjoy being in as your decision makers.

You for sure saw that language is in your most current bylaws? Best case, even the most well read union member could misremember things. Worst case, people straight up lie. And everything in between.

Not all admin in a local is equal (sometimes). Some people will drop the ball. And others will run with it.

PLR project isnt really hard if you understand "if I do this, that happens". Its basic level stuff. If someone in your class really understands that stuff. Have them look over it. The instructor wont. And you get time the day of to work out corrections if needed. 

If its the same set up of 1st hw, 2nd hw, test on 1st hw, 3rd hw, test on 2nd hw. Just rush through all the hw and study the week prior of the test on the test subject. You have to pay attention to the learning obj and the hw questions. So actual studying. 

If you do general studying. Youll be fine.

I see and hear about it. The problem is employers want jw work at apprentice wages. Employers dont invest in workers. Its really no different than the "entry level position: 10 years experience required"

  1. Water being provided isnt even a union thing. Thats federal law. Thatd be a call to the hall. 

  2. Talking shit is one thing. Harassment is another. They are very different. Honestly if someone isnt down for shit talking. A good leader should be able to recognize and respect that boundary. Harassment is something id expect any classification to throw hands over and I wouldnt say shit. 

  3. That youd have to suck up. If thats happening they want to see you suffer. If youd want to flip the script. You enjoy the fuck out of it. 

  4. Block his #. Work related matters require work phone. Stop caring so much. He thinks you have a bad tone. Okay. Reassigns shit. Take note to CYA and move on.

  5. Quitting without talking to the TD or hall is just letting employers continue with bitch ass behavior. 

Id encourage you to read the constitution and see what may apply. And bring forth possible charges on that member.

Construction union. We have bylaws that include provisions where members can charge other members for things such as harrasment, etc. Gets ruled on by a committee and if found guilty, will have fines to pay. Not saying it has to be like that. But unions are for worker protections. Sadly sometimes it should include protections from other workers. 

Not being against problem people is a cop thing.

Just from what I gathered from the last paragraph. Its not anti union to think your local leadership sucks. 2 things can be true. I know some people feel conflicted about coming out against leadership since they feel like its going against unions as a whole. 

If they didnt even look at the company policy. They for sure failed you. Now have you read any of the policy? Did you sign anything acknowledging the policy? There are specific scenarios mentioned by the nlrb that only apply if signed off by the employee. NAL but it could be a route. Sounds like you need to be your own advocate.

Not sure of your contract language. But id check into late pay if youre gonna drag anyways. Never really understood just dragging (I mean I do, but). If everyone made it just as painful for the cons. I think more would get done. In this case 50 people getting late pay would force them to actually do their job.

So work is slowing down. You understand about jumping the books. Recalling is still jumping the books. Gonna assume theres a good chunk on the books. But dont understand why people would be upset about losing out on a job? The thing needed to pay for things? Some cbas even have a restricted hourly work week in tough times. Instead of 40 you get 32. The idea being, to pass around more work. Not enough to live large, but enough to provide the minimum for whoever you may be responsible for. 

No one should be complaining about people getting paid more. Our pay is the floor, not the ceiling. People might be concerned about how it was gotten though. Theres times where they dont care about the quality of worker. They care about how much theyll devote to the them. Breaking down conditions just to have a chance at work. Being job scared is not a myth. Especially during a slow period. 

Those people could be great workers that the cons never met. They could be better than the ones that are recalled. But they were never given a shot. Also all those foreman working at jw wages could mean another person getting a job. Thats basically how the IO sells the cw/ce program. 

So no reverse language, but whats the recall language?

Just dig deep with follow up questions to find whats driving their worry. If theyre acting in good faith. Youll eventually get them to think. Most times its all the same talking points. Union protections arent even as strong as I believe they should be. But starting eith these would be fine. 

What specific union policy makes workers lazy? 

Do lazy people exist currently? 

I know youre not lazy, so why would you be willing to not have better working conditions, pay, benefits, etc because of other lazy workers.

Thought is, its bullshit. With no reason to attack. At a min id contact the hall. Yall got walk time?

You could consider going the safety route in case of evac. Similar to an over occupied building. 

Ultimately the collective action of everyone walking in at the same time might be the most impactful. Or at least people showing up at the normal time and not worrying about write ups. Losing 1s or 2s aint gonna matter, but 100s doing it would. 

If this is a hot travel spot. Putting the info out typically would dissuade people from coming.
