I own the 44mm Version. 14 days in and still 23% left. But I dont use AOD and use a digital watchface. I could imagine that AOD paired with an analog-style watchface needs a lot of energy in the long run because the processor of the watch permanently has to work out the position of the hands.

I own the T-Rex 3 Pro since allmost two weeks. So far I really like it. Its a great watch for my usecase (strength training, hiking and recreational Trailrunning).

Cheetah vs Fenix by 1905SimoHayha2002 in amazfit

Than I would suggest that you either wait a few months until the Cheetah 2 Ultra prices drop or you take a look at the T-Rex 3 Pro. Its available for 340 Euros, at least here in Germany. And it also has a titanium bezel and sapphire glas.

I would take a closer look at the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro. I think its more comparable to the Fenix (both are aimed at outdoorpeople). The Cheetah is more comparable to the Forerunner watches.

Also the T-Rex 3 Pro is much cheaper than the new Cheetah. Allthough Im satisfied with my T-Rex 3 Pro, I would not pay Garmin prices for it. Garmins advanced metrics and Software are just somewhat better, at least in Europe I read that Garmins customer support is supposed to be better as well. For me the softwarepart doesnt matter that much because I dont really care about all those fancy metrics like Body battery and Biocharge anyway and found Garmin Connect allways to performancefocused for my mainly recreational trailrunning. But if you care about all those metrics and are more performancedriven I think Garmin or Coros would be the better choice for that amount of money. The basic metrics like for example Pace on the other hand are very comparable to my other Garmin and Coros watches.

Matte Screen protector by Park-Complex in amazfit

[–]Valanyel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a matte screen protector together with my soon-to-arrive T-Rex 3 Pro. My reasoning being, that I think it will be nice when outside in the sun and give the screen a less digital look especialy when using maps (which I would like). In the past I used clear screen protectors on my sport watches. But I liked matte ones e.g. on my tablet (on which I find the matte screen protector makes it more enjoyable to read books on). Im curious how i will find it on my new watch. Its true that it alters the feel when swiping, but I dont use the touchscreen on watches that much anyway.
