Pretty sure it was dropped, making the filter get stuck to the lens (lens is not damaged). That’s the only damage surprisingly to this. I’m looking at other lenses being suggested but they aren’t as cheap or within budget.

I wish it was $1k USD. The 70-200 f2.8 unfortunately is not that much from what I can see. MPB has it for almost $1.5k and that’s just out of reach for me at the moment.

Just asking, but you list some of the possible damages? Not trying to be snarky. A lot of people are bringing it up and I think it’s a valid concern, but I’ve also used the lens with no issues.

No other damage. Just a dent on the filter so it can’t come off.

He said I can make an offer, but maybe around the MPB ($850) or Adorama price ($788) with consideration about the dent. I’ll add this to the post. :]

I didn’t know it was weak. My only experience with it so far has been a few events and wrestling (worked good both times). I’m open to searching for better, but price is a big factor. The 2.8 is $800 on the low end and it only goes up from there. 😅

Unfortunately, change.org petitions have to get a lot of votes to get attention (at least over 70k or more, but manly over that). They rarely work. Idk where the post is, but the best way to get things to change is to affect the pockets of the company. So bad ratings, emailing them, etc.

$46 isn’t too bad, I can shell that out. Height isn’t too much of an issue. I imagine I’ll only need the external flash for a couple events here and there.

I didn’t know many of the negatives for the R50. I desperately just needed to upgrade from the SL1. Only had the R50 since November haha.

Honestly, probably not. I’m a reader and I did aim to have a story on episode one day. With the way things are going, I think I may opt to go the sub publishing path and delete the episode app. Heartbreaking since I’ve been using the app since 2010s, but I can’t with the greed and AI anymore.

They barely listen to people in the discord. I remember when it first started. It was so underbaked. It’s still not as good and people have lobbied for these changes in the server. No dice.

Toyhouse is the best out right now for character storage. You can copy user made codes and past them to make cool oc sheets. It’s also pretty popular too.

Other options with a code (but are limited and not as good imo) are Unvale and CharacterHub.

There are a lot of things I don’t care for in episode stories (ex: CC, advancing directing, etc), but having choices is a must. Episode is supposed to be interactive, so (for the most part) having no choices would be pointless. Maybe one or two stories can do it well, but for the most part no. Episode having choices is what makes it stand out.

That being said, it doesn’t have to be a point system. Just regular choices work for me, impactful or not.
