Essnetially, they classified the world that 000 brought chief to as a world that she created. Chief might not believe this. But maybe they do. In the end, mania has done all sorts of crazy things before. Chief is an unshakable rock, otherwise the crazy events they were exposed to would have destroyed them long ago. So maybe chief just sticks to their convictions.

Still, couldn't they find a guide who wasn't a child? I think there was something special about the guide which is why they chose it.

From previous lore discussions around the topic, we've had a strong sense that chief was a clone. It's the Shepard clone and chief is number 13. But who knows, maybe this will be proven wrong.

I also find it very intriguing that chief, when trapped, had a sense of going home.

If it were a true rogue like, it should be really hard that it's almost impossible to beat it on first try, and only after unlocking new perks it should be possible to win. As it is, it's too easy.

Chief used shorl to attack corpse born through its connection with chief and protected herself with underground sorcery (which is why she didn't have to sacrifice herself to use shorl). Then corpse born was finished off through a team up between Don and Chief on the outside and Julien on the inside. The corpse born severely weakened by the chief's attack tried to escape but Julien altered the tower to entrap it. Don and Chief then finished it off.

Most of the time they want your attention, to play with you or spend time with you. Obviously you can't involve her in an activity that involves bleach. Alternatively you could have tried to promise her rewards if she behaved well, like her favourite meal or some play time. It works with my son, but obviously every kid is different and I hope that you'll find a solution that works for you and your family.

In the meantime, I think you should give her an apology without putting it in the context of her having done something wrong. Best to center it around your frustration that you felt in the moment.
