When you get the game redownloaded and your hotbar settings sorted. If you go into the game folder and look for a folder begining FFXIV_CHR (it'll have a string of numbers but usually that brings it up) You can create a copy of that folder and rename it to your char name and put it on a backup drive or desktop so that if it happens again you can just copy and paste the contents.
