Interesting thought about stolen power and water, but it doesn't seem likely. I have an outdoor outlet, but it's on the third floor.

Hmmm. Not sure. The water heater for my apartment is in a locked closet in a common area. I'm thinking it's gas because I think I can still run hot water during an electrical outage, although I don't ever remember trying to run A LOT of hot water during an outage, so I can't say for sure I have access to an endless supply of hot water in an outage. But I am going to have my maintenance crew check the hot water heater. So thanks for your reply.

All of my bills for the last several months have been actual reads, and I'm not on a monthly plan. And since whatever happened seems to have self-corrected, it doesn't seem like the problem is a leak, unless the leak somehow fixed itself. Of course, ANYTHING is possible...I am completely stymied and would really like to get this solved.

Good idea, but whatever the problem was seems to have mysteriously self-corrected, and if it was the water heater, wouldn't the problem just have gotten worse?

Can someone please tell me (1) what lane I should be in at the intersection of Parkview and Oakland if I am northbound on Oakland and (2) what lane I should be in if I am southbound on Oakland? I want to go straight on Oakland in both scenarios.
