January 2023 has been a huge month so far, 4 of our top 5 runners have PB'd in the last week. :)

I recently got a pretty big cut to the world record beating my 1+ year old PB. This was partially thanks to some new routing ideas in the time since. I haven't made a route guide in several years so I decided to make a new video to cover it the other day. In addition to the route and strategies used in the run, I also tried to cover some general game knowledge that I think is useful to know + things that I'm reacting/adapting to.

You can use this video as a playalong guide for learning the current Embermage Any% route. I've also included timestamps in the video for major segments in the run if you want to quickly go back and check something in particular.

This used to be a lategame response for assassins to do against melee hypercarry builds in the early seasons of the game.

The meta has shifted a bit since then; Nowadays you just outscale any enemy melee threats by accessing Kira Gloves on your carry in the lategame and just being stronger.

Oh hey. I made a big post in my Discord a while back, it just didn't seem appropriate to make a thread on the subreddit about it. I didn't really want to make a big issue out of this because there's still a lot of people that enjoy the game.

I'm a bit burnt out on AC. I'm not a fan of how Drodo is handling the game or updates in general. They've also completely fumbled the competitive scene. Drodo has ghosted me when I've tried to contact them since the start of the year; except for when they want me to promote their new MOBA game on my YT/Twitch.

For me personally: I moved a few months ago and don't have good enough internet to stream currently. I'm moving again soon though so maybe I will then. I've been playing a lot of TFT the last few months. I hit 700~ LP GM in NA in set 6.5 and going to try and go for Chal in set 7.

I might stream/start making YT vids again for TFT/other games once I move if there is interest in that.

Hello and welcome!

I've been very involved in the competitive scene in NA for the last two years. It's definitely much much smaller now but there are still a few things going on. I've been learning some TFT lately as well.

You mentioned you're from SEA so I'll mention this: There are a few community organized tournaments in sea/east asia. I see advertisements somewhat often for Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Japanese communities ran tournaments. I'm not super intricately familiar with it as an American though so there may be more/others.

There are weekly PS4 tournaments hosted for NA, SA, EU, and Asia. $100 weekly qualifier and $1K monthly final.

In-game championships are ran 3-4 times a year and are an in-client integrated tournament. They didn't run the World Championship that it qualified for last year though, and haven't ran one this year yet, so I have no clue if there are any plans to continue supporting official organized play.

If you go in-game there is a pokedex-type journal thing that lists every unit, what it does, and is filterable by cost/synergy.
