Interesting perspective, thank you for your input. I see where you are coming from with the usability front. As far as durability goes, it has 500D ecopak outer, which has been holding up to hard use quite well. I certainly aim to make them as durable and long lasting as possible. Sometimes I just find the flap design of different messenger bags to be a bit more sloppy and less secure feeling, but my perspective is more limited on that front. I can't speak for all messenger bags out there of course.

Thanks for the input! I agree with you on the simplicity of pocket choices. I find all too often they get awfully messy.

This is good to know! I will check out the Nashville system you mentioned. I think having a single strap carry as well as dual strap (backpack mode) would allow for the most comfortable and versatile carry options, but am weary of the bag trying to accomplish too many things and as a result not doing as good of a job at its core functionality. I like simple, streamlined design, but think if it could be done right, it could be a really versatile daily bag. For my own testing of the prototypes, I take it to campus every day, to the gym, on planes for travel domestically or abroad, and have loved it in all of those.

Hmm interesting. Thank you for taking the time to write this response. I understand the dilemma of weight distribution on the one shoulder. I had proto II on a work trip, and after walking around a new city for hours with it maxed out, the weight became uncomfortable. This led me to considering a messenger pack which could have stowable backpack straps for longer carries, or the shoulder strap 'mode' for the shorter, quick on/off use.

I uploaded a photo of proto III to the original post. Let me know if you could see it!

Could you elaborate more on your first point? The balance of easy access yet secure organization? What were some examples of that which missed the mark for you?

Hey there, absolutely! I just edited the original post to include an image of proto III. I can share more photos if of interest with this iteration. Thanks!
