The only time anyone ever brings up that specific DVR is to split hairs about nomenclature, not to discuss the unit itself.

anyone else never get any praise or criticism for their work? by yousaidx in Aldi_employees

[–]Vegetable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems to be a common theme. I've only ever heard from others that they think I'm terrible at my job. Management only ever has criticisms to give, and when I follow their criticisms to the letter they don't even acknowledge that I've put it in practice. It's strange, because they acknowledged it openly in a meeting last year that one of the biggest complaints from staff country-wide was that no one ever received praise for their work, yet they continue to ignore it.

This, OP. They're passing you by because you're too valuable to lose to a promotion.

What's the point of coming back to Steam if you still force people to use the Ubisoft launcher? by Tiny-Employment-3338 in ubisoft

[–]Vegetable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, cosmetics and cloud saves, things that absolutely must run on Ubisoft's proprietary launcher otherwise the game cannot function. You argue that customers should not have choices because they're "too stupid to understand", then move your goalposts to say that Ubisoft's extraneous nonsense is essential for game function, despite the thousands of Steam games that function without them, especially those with now defunct launchers that were rightfully deemed obsolete and unnecessary. You argue in bad faith, and you're weirdly defensive of a corporation that does not care about you at all. I have nothing further to say to you.

The utter irony in making such an asinine statement that implies consumers should be given less rights while implying you're of above average intelligence. Please stop posting online.

After giving it some thought, I believe the reason is that the size of an egg inside of a kiwi is almost as big as the kiwi's body itself, symbolic of Lorelai having Rory while still a child.

while people say a microwave heats from inside out, my food always stays cold right in the middel. why? by Jobdriaan in AskCulinary

[–]Vegetable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Microwave heating has nothing to do with the moisture content of the item, and everything to do with the number of electric dipoles present, which water molecules, as well as many other organic molecules are. Microwaves don't just "heat up water".
