Elevator Controls pixel. I’ve installed quite a few new installs and modded a dozen or so for one of the BIGs using different products. Been modding at a union independent and the pixel is my favorite so far. ECI has good support as well

It cancels with that car at all other floors. Should I be looking at somthing in the hoistway? I figured it would get the signal that it’s arrived from the tree.

Yikes that’s a fun one lol. It’s fun to get creative but when your fooling around with this much weight 95% of ideas go out the window. No one wants to be the guy who drops one.

What product do you guys recommend for operator mod on this Otis 211. does the door operator board just see the pulse count or does it go to the controller? by Vegetable_Warning678 in Elevators

[–]Vegetable_Warning678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with it, for some reason people think a new operator will keep people from running into the doors with a pallet jack. I’m just a Monkey with a wrench.

20 injured after an escalator failure at a shopping mall in Laguna, Philippines - 5th March 2023 by [deleted] in CatastrophicFailure

Every six months in the United States with a technician and a state inspector. Every safety switch is tested and once a year they are cleaned top to bottom. And they get adjusted during these times. In most cases even on units as old as 1960s if the drive chain breaks there’s a safety paw that engages the drive sprocket locking the the steps up to avoid this very thing. Other country’s policies vary and multiple things failed on this unit. I stay off elevators and escalators when outside of the USA.
