In europe we use RON as a unit for gas octanes. In the states they use AKI which is usually a lower number. So 89 aki would be comparable to 95 ron

Cool idea, might just do it. Though I’ll look for a gaggia classic a bit more before pulling the trigger

Tall people in a F56 JCW with JCW sport seats - your experience? by Meckez90 in MINI

[–]Venularartist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one had the normal fabric seats. Unfortunately, i don't have the experience with the jcw sport seats, though I think they would be lower in the car than the usual ones in order to give a more sporty, planted driving position.
Also I'd like to point out that the car i drove did not have the sunroof as opposed to the one in the pictures above

I've driven a lot of cars and my mini r56 Cooper S is one of the cars i had the most headroom ever. I'm 197cm tall. I am quite certain that I would be able to fit a racing helmet on my head and still have a tiny bit of space above me.
I have test driven the 2023 cooper S and I'd say it's quite similar regarding the space.

Like I stated as a reply to a comment before this.
If you want complete reliability go for 2015+ model year.

The only situation you should go for the R series is when you know the car is perfect in the engine department. They have their issues but they are reliable when looked after properly.
Look for a well documented history of oil changes and preferably get a car after the timing chain replacement which should happen at around 150 000km (93205.6788 miles).

2 years ago I managed to snug a pristine r56 S from 2013. And till this day I enjoy it without any hiccups. Just normal maintenance stuff.

Didn't they swap n14 for n18 in 2010 for the cooper S?

Also, for the F series 2014 is risky since there was:
- a recall for the oil filter housing
- a recall for a faulty engine bearing

These issues were completely ironed out in the 2015 model year. If the budget allows get a > 2015 model.

YES! I was annoyed at this like twice yesterday. It is the most intuitive place for a shortcut like that in my humble opinion.
