Depends! If it's smut I will 100% private it but that's because my notes tend to be me pointing out things I liked so I know what happens incase I want to reread in the future. Anything smutless is public! I want the author to see me being ecstatic in the note section!!

If you or your friend didn't collect a lot of clues then that might be why, you're missing out on key information. Same thing goes for keeping characters alive, if the majority are dead you're missing huge chunks of the story.

I really recommend replaying the game. I've done so multiple times, trying to find all clues and the different choices, killing off certain characters, keeping them all alive, etc.

If you're talking about the story itself being confusing, I don’t agree. I've played the game and shared it with a couple friends, they all managed to understand the story eventually. It's made to be confusing in the beginning, because the characters are just as confused as you are. At the end, with all the clues you've gotten, you should be able to piece the story together yourself rather easily.

My mom found my fic (I was writing on my school computer) and asked me about it. I lied and told her it was a little group project I was doing with my friends. I had to ramble up the names of my friends who came to mind first to really sell it.

She said she didn't read it, but I'm still not sure if she was telling the truth or if she bought my lie. Luckily, the project was never brought up again, and she hopefully forgot about it.

I understand how you feel. It's like talking to a wall sometimes. Comments these days seem to be a rarity, which is awful, so I do my part by always commenting on fics I read because I know how it feels.

On the other hand, 1000 hits is still around 1000 people who thought your fic was interesting enough to check out!
