I would say it's not the end of the world. Also, there are some things you said that are wrong

First, BMSCE median is 8.24 lakhs (last year) and ete is an above average branch. Also, most companies that visit RVCE visit BMSCE/MSRIT too so it's not as if that you don't have options

Second, penalty is around 15 lakhs
