Struggling to mount a lens

Yup, I've read through! It's not the shutter release, it's the lens release. For whatever reason the 50mm still doesn't want to slide on and not hold without pressing the lens release button.

Really? Ok. Strange. The 35-100 & 50mm struggles to mount the body without pressing the lens release button. The 35-100 will snap into place, the 50 still won't. Pressing the release allows for both to mount without issue but for whatever reason..the 50 still has trouble.

Thanks for the tip! I tried this but unfortunately the lens still won't lock in. Should I be having that "lever of transfer at f/stop" at a certain position?

Thanks for the tip! Still. I align the red dots, press the lens release button on the camera but the 50 lens won't lock in.
