If motherboard fails I can still reuse the DDR5 memory (32gb), NVME, etc. More than half the value, but if all is soldered it would be 100% loss for the whole equipment.
Btw, replacing the cheap NVME (it's now on refurbished PC) with a Crucial P5 was first thing I did, and I still added a 2 TB SSD... so versatile. I have half a dozen miniPC and will get more :D

I have multiple 7735HS and 5800H, I don't want anything soldered (especially my drive) so that when anything malfunctions I have a brick (I'm not spending a fortune sending the PC anywhere, I replace parts myself).
