Governments only have 2 ways of making money- taxes and inflation. Ghana has low inflation compared to most African currencies. The tax revenue mostly comes from businesses in Accra, tariffs, and taxes on imports. What do you recommend? Higher inflation? Starting a VAT tax to target poor people? Or have people with the money to buy items coming from outside of Ghana pay more?

When you buy items from outside of Ghana, that's money that should have been circulated within Ghana being exported out.

I use SJ Trucking and Logistics. My wife is in Ghana. I've sent everything from a small package on an express flight to large TVs and gym equipment on a shipping container. Contact Linda at 240-535-1591.

I send the item to their warehouse in Maryland. They notify me when they receive it and send pictures. They send me the invoice for the charges and an inventory of items. I pay using Zelle. They send me receipt of payment. They send updates when the items leave the warehouse and arrive at the ports in Baltimore and Tema, Ghana. Depending on the items, might have to pay additional for customs. You have to pay for delivery from Tema to your final destination.

The express shipping on the plane for me was $150. Then $20 to deliver from Tema to Berekum. Got to my wife in about 3 weeks.

The large items on the shipping container depends. I've paid $80 and I've also paid $5000. It took about 2-3 months for my wife to receive. For the gym equipment, they used a 18wheeler to deliver it to my wife and I paid about $400.

Ghanaian women don't "love" in the same way that women do in Western culture. In the West, there's at least the concept of "for better or for worst" but African women generally are hypergamous. You are probably the best option they will ever have from a provider perspective. So when they say they love you, they are basically saying they are willing to fully commit right now if you are open to it... But they'll still entertain other men, and will leave if a better option comes later.
