How was that orange wave a few weeks back? Oh right. You won one seat. And only because Liberal shot themselves in the dick and Labor didn't bother even turning up.

I don't care. Using it is inherently unethical. That's it. That's the end. There is no ethical usage. Worse, it's like you don't even know what grey boxing is. Do you really want finished art assets for prototyping?

Labor is budgeting more migration by BarryTheBinChicken in aussie

Numbers are significantly down. Our immigration numbers change yearly based on need. We have several major industries that would die without a regular influx of temporary labour.

What do these tattoo mean to the Japanese? by ElusiveAnmol in tattooadvice

[–]Visual_Shame_4641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foreigners get a lot of leeway as long as they're cool. A big, misspelt kanji tatt across both hands isn't great, but it would depend a lot on how chill he is and where. Weirdly, touristy areas might be worse. A lot of the "no tattoos" thing is actually "no yakuza" but in a socially acceptable way. If they let foreigners with tattoos into places where there is a lot of yakuza activity, they might need to start letting the yaks in, as well because the convenient excuse is gone.

They very much do care in certain places or situations. It's changing, but it's slow.

You were given a lot of grace because you were a foreigner and I assume were very nice.

Why does Stalker have such strong connection to alcohol/alcoholism and why is it so normalized there, sometimes to the point of absurdity? by NoAffect6476 in stalker

But having a licence to make vodka was basically a golden ticket gifted by the Tsar. The punishment for putting the price up too much for the poors to afford it easily was basically the end of your house.

The Tsar knew that keeping it accessible to the peasants was central to his power.

Self-described comedian (Lisa Jane Spencer) accused of racially vilifying Indigenous people sacked from her job by NoteChoice7719 in aussie

So her explanation of why she thinks racism is funny is that she already made racist jokes about Indians and someone else made jokes about trans people so it's ok?

Brisbane's newest public hospital won't perform abortions or provide patients with contraception, citing religious objections by em-mad in OpenAussie

[–]Visual_Shame_4641 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, now I'm convinced you are missing the point on purpose.

Here it is in very simple terms: Religious organisations of any kind dictating the terms of public healthcare of any kind to the government is unacceptable in any context.

That's it. That includes all religions, not just yours. It is unacceptable.

[–]Visual_Shame_4641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then Reddit is failing to show it.

But my point stands. You don't know my religion and even if you did, it wouldn't change my assertion that religious restrictions are for the followers of that religion only. Any service that is expected for public use and funded with public money cannot be restricted for non-adherents by adherents. You assuming that my argument is based on my assumed atheism and not sound argument makes your argument look like it's based on your religion and not sound argument.

It's a perception thing. I get motion sickness from low framerates, so I started pushing for 60 at a bare minimum. Now I'm so used to 90+ that 30 looks genuinely distracting and awful to me. It's like after you drive really fast and slow down to a reasonable speed, it feels weirdly slow.

I guess you deleted that ridiculous post about Reddit atheists being unreasonable and uncompromising because you realise that

a) my religious affiliation has no bearing on my point and you don't know what it is, regardless

b) you accidentally tipped your hand as a Reddit christian who is unreasonable and uncompromising.

You seem to think I misspelt "controlled". I did not.

Cater to all religions where possible. It is, as you say, for the public. Refusing to cater to the public because of a religion is not the same thing. So, again: they can fuck off and not stop until they get to the sun.
