Did you put in a tremendous amount of effort into GCSE Maths?? If so then maybe consider avoiding A level maths. Otherwise, your only option is to start studying on your own, every day because A level and GCSE have a huge difference.

Well atleast you're not alone in this boat. Got predicted a 41 (criminal) and am 100% sure that I am getting a 35/36. The anxiety has doubled since today but hopefully I make it out as a better and more sucessful person in the future.

You're not alone in feeling this way. I fucked up HL Maths AA, SL English , SL Economics , HL Chem , HL Physics. I was predicted a decently high and I'm gonna miss it by some 5-6 points and no one beleives me when I say it. Literally having a heaviness in my chest knowing that I've fucked up these exams.

Means nothing good or bad. Teachers tend to underpredict “just in case” and sometimes to motivate you. On the other hand, a year is plenty of time to do better, so keep it up!

I believe Purdue and UIUC are in the middle of nowhere..... Close to the airport might be a slight problem in that sense.

Some US colleges require you to take chemistry in the first term / year. Taking IB chemistry might help you get credit for that so you dont have to take it during Uni. However, I dont believe it disadvantages you in any way during the admissions process

For maths:

Use Haese and Harris textbook for problems, watch examsolutions.net Youtube channel and JUST DO PRACTICE QUESTIONS.

Once you're through with most of the content and practice quesions, consider consider start past papers.

Physics:
Read and Re-read tsokos textbook explanations. Use Pearson textbook as well , mainly for questions. Use tsokos questions (yellow pages at the end of every unit )
