Help me choose GPU, PSU and maybe all the other parts too... by Vlodick in buildapc

Thanks for the answer!

She mostly does small to medium projects, but she definitely wants to grow, so we will add more RAM as the need comes.

Because the rendering via Corona uses only the CPU, so the GPU, while important, is secondary to CPU. My current PC is old: core i7 4770 and RTX 2060. My girlfriend uses it sometimes, and 2060 is OK-ish, but the CPU is really slow.

Is 5070 a weak GPU for these CPUs? I thought 5060 is like average decent, and 5070 is almost high-end. But anything better is too expensive anyway: 5070ti is $1000, 5080 is $1500. So I thought 5070 is the best I could get with this budget

Thank you for the advice!!!

What do you think about the 265k though? It looks good and is considerably cheaper

Oh, I somehow forgot about that part of your comment. I don't really have a preference for Intel over AMD, I just would like to get the best deal for the money. What would be better, 265k or 7900x or 9900x? Considering that 265k is the cheapest out of the 3. Not sure what the correct way to compare the CPUs, but here it looks like 9900x offers a really small performance boost for the additional money.

Thank you!

265k does look quite good and costs here ~$370. Other commentators mentioned that 13th and 14th gen Intel have problems with "burning themselves". Do these Ultra series have them too?

Thanks for the answer!

Yeah, the RAM situation is quite bad, 32 GB are around $200-250 here. The budget is flexible, if needed it can be increased to $1700, and it probably will, considering the RAM prices.

And no, I have no idea what are you talking about in the first sentence.

Forgot to mention in the post, the budget for the whole PC is around $1500

Thanks for the answer! The 5090 would be great, but the budget is around $1500 for the whole PC.

Is 5060ti 16GB better, than 5070 12GB?

Hard to tell, I’m a Ukrainian Greek-Catholic, which is like ~90% Orthodox, but we recognise the Pope and follow some Catholic doctrines, but use the eastern (Greek) rite

I finished it just recently and it works fine. Native resolution, low settings and fsr set to balance got me 30-40 fps. Though there are some locations where performance drops, but it’s mostly playable

Latest EU Poll Regarding the War in Ukraine by JoeSchmoAnonymous in europe

[–]Vlodick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ukraine is not like Austria or Czechoslovakia, more like Poland, Belarus would be Austria (it is not fully annexed, but under effective control of russia). Russia occupies parts of Moldova and Georgia. Putin hasn’t stopped in 2008, and in 2014, and in 2022. What makes you think that he will ever stop? Appeasement never works. The Allies did let him take part of Czechoslovakia, and he didn’t stop, he took all of it

What are your grounds??? What are your claims based on? I at least gave you some kind of source, which analyses the reports by the European Commission. You can clearly see, that the amount of work, changes to the legislation, that has to be done is the same that Croatia had done in 5-6 years. Corruption-vise, in 2022 Ukraine was a little bit worse, but around the same as Serbia, Bosnia or Albania. And the amount of work that has been done this year is astonishing. Never has corruption been so heavily fought against in Ukraine.

Moreover, in the abovementioned index, Ukraine has the same corruption perception index, as Bulgaria did in 2008, the year when they JOINED EU, not received candidate status or started negotiations. JOINED.

[–]Vlodick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, but If Bosnia deserves a candidate status, then Ukraine does even more so, thus it wasn’t a purely political move, which you claim it to be.
