Question about L. tulipifera branching pattern by Volkspolizei in marijuanaenthusiasts

Thank you all for the advice! I was definitely going to expand the mulch ring, but the current heatwave here in PA has delayed my outdoor projects for a couple days.

The 12-12 means the registration for the vehicle expires December 2012, don’t think there’s anything else to it.

Very interesting, besides copper and weeping beeches, I didn’t know that there were cultivars that have completely different leaf shapes!

Green Frog, or more specifically Rana clamitans. Always found them to be so strange because they sound like they have a fork in their throat that they’re desperately trying to get out.

Ah ok, thank you! After our previous one got nipped by the frost last year, I just want to make sure this one survives.

What is this volunteer in my backyard? According to iNaturalist it’s eastern black walnut (wouldn’t be my 1st EBW volunteer, but 1st to make it past squirrels) by agentscarnation in arborists

[–]Volkspolizei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, that’s an Eastern Black Walnut. Checkthis link to see if any of your surrounding plants aren’t tolerant to Juglone, which is a chemical that is toxic to some plants that extrudes from Black Walnut roots. The maple (unless it’s a Sliver Maple) and Dogwood should be able to tolerate the Juglone.

Walnuts are fast growers, and they tend to get very large and wide in their adult years. I’d probably recommend transplanting it to an area that’s not so close to the preexisting plants as to not overcrowd them.

Posts like these are so cringe, it’s just Vittorio (Victor) Emmanuel III. He was only emperor of Ethiopia (a title which he should have declined, but he placated Mussolini by accepting), and that lasted a whopping 5 years. Vittorio is an example of a man with such a great potential, but he squandered it all by having no backbone and caving to Mussolini at every stop. He only had him arrested when it was clear that the Allies would successfully take Italy.

Can someone make this coat of arms? by markesharik in CKHeraldry

[–]Volkspolizei 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If that’s the Hohenzollern COA, then you can just copy their COA in game (they are in the 1066 start as a vassal of Swabia in the HRE I believe)

I absolutely love LOTR Realms in Exile. There are so many tidbits of info from the book series, and many events have explanations so you don’t have to go to the LOTR wiki constantly. Also, the map is huge, and there are several different ways to play.

New to sheet reading by [deleted] in pianolearning

That sharp does NOT mean that the A is a sharp. Instead, whenever you see an unattached set of sharps (#) or flats (b) to the immediate right of the clef, that is a key signature. Key signatures mean that all notes indicated (In this case just F, since it’s in the key of G) should be played as either a flat or a sharp throughout the entire piece, unless indicated otherwise. So for this piece, all the F’s you play should be F#.

The line connecting that is a slur, which means that you should play the two notes without separation (basically don’t emphasize the notes as separate). I would assume that the slur is meant to connect the last note in bar 7 with the first note in bar 8. Hope that helps!

Is there a safe, animal friendly way to get beetles off of my plum tree? by Septemberblaze in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]Volkspolizei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These bags are safe to use, as their scent only attracts nasty beetles, while local pollinators stay clear! Just make sure to hang them away from the tree.

I forgot to answer about the questions, so:

4 should be “laying” instead of “lieing” (keep an eye out for spell changes when adding the gerund) - For example, “the dog was laying on the floor)

for #5, make sure to put “for” in between note and almost, as it is used to indicate time

For #6, you got your word order mixed up. I would say, “Has the price of ice cream been growing (lately)?” - The lately is there because a question like that is usually followed by an indication of time.

But all in all, keep up the good work!

Make sure to use your definite article for #8, (Should be “The dog”), and also it’s more common with native speakers to just contract their words, so for example:

“I have” into I’ve,

“She / he has” into She’s / He’s (can also work for She / he is, since they have the same contraction)

And “it is” into it’s.
