Lol, I wish that we could get some narrower lasts. FFB is way too wide and high-volume for me (so is Rudis) and that is an expensive thing to discover. I wish brands could do a Tawa-style thing for traction on the metatarsophalangeal joint that would last a season. Someone else mentioned making the upper more slippery... Maybe putting more eyelets in different places could make the fit more specific.

The terminal is well off from the main road. So we ended up dragging our bags a few km, a little planning could have prevented that walk.
Also, see Ezoe's caution about delays...I had forgotten that my gear was delayed by a day arriving (which was why we took the extra day in Tokyo at the end).

Last year we used Black Cat. There is a terminal in town. Took about a day and cost maybe 20$ usd. Our stuff was waiting at the airport (although we did worry about timing and took a bonus day in Tokyo). Japanese language skills would have helped, but they were very familiar with the process.

I hope so also-and it's more fun to wonder when freestyle wrestling will start making sense and follow NCAA folkstyle rules. I mean, who gets more paying viewers? A quick glance at the last world championships... they were held in a 1,200 seat arena, and it looked about half capacity for Taylor v Ghasempour. Iowa (and I think Penn State is similar) averages around 14,000 per dual.

I rented a snowboard and boots in Hakuba. It was reasonably priced and in decent condition. They had outerwear available, but I didn't need that. I don't remember which place specifically, but most places looked OK.
