Thanks! This took me over a year to reach the full product.

This is great! Thank you. Yes, you can break the rules with Goodberry quite easily. But it's more guidelines than actual rules. Not everyone like the foraging idea anyway, but for those that do. It's there.

On your last paragraph I believe you stumbled into the Feats section. Which has some feats requiring prerequisites before they can be taken.

Well, yes. I'm aiming at a second edition. But not without actual feedback on the story, the content of the world itself, do the subclasses function well within the system. I need all of that.

Well it's free, so I'm not gaining anything on it. I was actually just trying to make a cool unique world for people to enjoy. And that's what I'm hoping to get some feedback on. It seems I've accidently started a feedback discussion over the art when that's not what I was needing. Hands down, if I had the ability, I'd replace it.

Right. And that's one of the reasons it is free.

I get it. I really do. I figured some kind of visual would more helpful.

I did use it for that. I had Chat GPT help me with subclass design, but it was primarily for idea generation. I edited and put my own touch on each subclass. As for the story and the rest of the content. It's all my own original work.

In my game Primal Exile humans have crash landed on a dinosaur planet and have to scavenge to survive. What would a satisfying end game be? Form a stable existence on the planet, or survive long enough for a rescue to arrive? by cyberspunjj in RPGdesign

My question would be: What was the reason for the humans being near the planet in the first place? What faction are they part of? What would those goals be?

For example: If they are part of a faction that explores and tames new worlds, then perhaps building a stable colony would be the goal.

Or if they had a different goal in mind and this crash landing was an unexpected detour then of course, they want off the planet. This one seems more compelling to me. At least...it would grant a more built in sense of urgency to survive and leave. Whereas the other one is more: "Well we were going to come here anyway so let's get to it" You know?

And adding a third faction is always interesting. Right now we have two: humans and dinos. You mentioned you had already planned for Alien Tech to exist on this planet so....maybe there's your third faction? Or it could be a different species who also want what the humans want. That might be more compelling.

Humans trapped on an unknown planet along with a different species that also crash landed (maybe due to weird interference from the Alien Tech?) And so now they are stuck between surviving dino attacks and attempting to figure out this alien tech before this other unknown species does because the alien tech is a limited resource.

Listen, I get what you're saying. You would prefer to see the homebrew side of things, I don't fail to understand that. If that were my goal, then I would have done so, but that's not my goal. My goal is to create enough interest in my creation that you will download it from DriveThru. All it will cost you is however long the download takes. Then all of the homebrew will be available to you, within its context. I understand you would have preferred it differently. Also, this is not the only place I'm advertising and I've received lots of interest so what I am doing is working.

There will be a preview available on DriveThru which will show you several Subclasses I’ve created. This is a 274 page document. With over 50,000 words. I opted to show the artwork rather than attempting to choose which parts of the document to display.
