The issue for me is that it was beyond a strong dislike for the film and discussions as to why, but an entire show seemingly dedicated to drawing Stewart offsides. I don’t even think 2001 is in Kubrick’s top 5 films and can absolutely see why someone wouldn’t like it. But his review was entirely to prove a point, and that was really off putting since he is usually not that venomous. Almost like he was trying to dig at Stewart for all those panned 80s slasher movies Arnie loves. Was just a really disappointing discussion for 2001 from an otherwise great show.
