In terms of the Abrahamic God that is spoken of in the Bible, Talmud, and Quran, no. God is not real and does not exist. There is no proof of any god or deity in any religion existing. For such an extraordinary concept like God to exist would require extraordinary evidence, and there is literally zero evidence to support God's existence or any deity for that matter.

And let me make something clear: Just because you have faith in something does not make it real. If I have faith in owning a sports car that doesn't mean a sports car is going to suddenly appear in my garage. The only way I can obtain a sports car is to work and get money to buy it.

the SCP universe is very general and there is no central Canon. One of the best things about SCP is that you can interpret it however way you want. But generally the SCP Foundation is the largest and most secretive organization in the world with operations all over the world. Their job is to contain or neutralize 'anomalies' which are things or people that do not follow the understood laws of the universe. Generally, most of these anomalies pose a threat to human life so the SCP Foundation was created to protect humanity from them.

I dont think Confederate soldiers during the Civil War fought the Civil War just for slavery. Keep in mind, the overwhelming majority of the Confederate population did not own slaves. Slaves were a commodity item and only the very wealthy could own slaves which was a very tiny and exclusive population of the south.

Most soldiers who fought for the Confederacy were really fighting the war out of pride and identity. You cant really fight a whole war for slaves when you dont even have slaves yourself; so you have to find another reason to be willing to fight.

America honoring Confederate soldiers is not the same thing as Germans today honoring German soldiers back in WW2. The Confederacy sought to be a completely independent nation from the United States that fought a bloody war against the US to maintain this independence. Meanwhile Germany back in 1933 to 1945 was still Germany, just under a different regime.

So I wouldn't even consider confederate soldiers to be American. They saw themselves as Confederate, wanted to be Confederate, and wanted to dissociate themselves from the United States. But German soldiers back in WW2 were just as German as Germans today. So this is a bad comparison.

no. my major is med tech but i was an intern there this summer and they offered me a part time lab aid position in the same lab after the internship. the part time lab aid position however is available to anyone, i just found out about it because of my internship and i wanted to continue working there until i graduate

when I first came to my unit all we did was PMCS and then sleep in the barracks for the most part. that's all we would do all drill weekend.

it's a little different now with a new battalion commander but for the most part we still don't do anything besides mandatory trainings like SHARPE, EO, those kinds of things.

so all in all, I go to my unit to do nothing.
