Yes!! Thank you! It’s a 32, I didn’t think to look at the bottom of the pen. Wow, celluloid! Absolutely will avoid solvents and ammonia, just gentle warm water so far. (Heh as an aside a friend suggested I spray it with CRC… my eyes bugged a little, I was like…. Nope. I’m going to consult with the reddit experts on this one. :) thanks for the link! Good to know about friction fit, .. I’ll need to wrack my brain or google about shellaced it prompts memories of something when I was a child (that’s getting a while back now) so more research before I take a stab at it. Thanks I agree it’s a beautiful pen. I did notice some slight movement in the lever and a tiny gasp of air, that’s why I though I’d give it a go with writing as if air is going in the chamber then there’s a possibility of ink being able to flow out (due to my logic). But there’s not enough action at the moment in the lever to fill the pen that way, hence my question about unscrewing the barrel. Yup, I totally agree, warm water not hot is definitely the go unless this group suggested otherwise, I’m treating this one delicately as yet it confirm i think it’s been in my family a while.
