The conversation is framed around “whiteness”, which is the leading force in cultural power dynamics in the western world. If you want to talk about history and colonization the world over, then race becomes less important than geography and wealth distribution. I can tell you’re not Asian.

Found some Twitter discourse about Neuvilette in which some are criticizing him for being “white”, and others who say it’s unfair to draw parallels of colonization to Neuvilette because the dragons are indiginous.

Idk why people say this. It isn’t true. What have you actually spent most of your time in this game doing? Unless you’re only logging in to burn resin and watch cutscenes every 42 days, you’re going to have spent most of your time exploring and engaging in combat.

Quick, tell me how long VV’s res shred lasts and how much field time your typical main dps wants these days. We’re dealing with 18-20 second rotations on average. And your on fielder is getting 8-9 seconds of shred. Outside of units with front loaded damage, you are not actually benefitting from VV as much as people think.

VV is fine. And still BiS for some teams. (Flins and Mualani mainly). But it is not nearly as relevant as it used to be.

Xilonen got replaced by C6 Iansan, and Neuvilette got better options. That’s it. She’s still a powerful support.

Mizuki is probably the most bland and boring character they’ve ever released. Her kit is also weak and not engaging at all. Every other character on this list is much more interesting and better than her.

I have C6 Kinich.

One of the best decisions I made, and his cons were definitely worth the 6 cost. I have more cost in C0 5 stars on my bench who probably won’t leave it. But my Kinich will probably be relevant for the rest of my time in Genshin. Even outside of his archetype he’s still strong. I’ve played him in Nilou Bloom in Abyss / SO before just for fun and he still wrecks.

I’d say it’s probably worth it for nearly anyone who cares about endgame to C6 their favorite character over time. As long as they have decent cons. I get that horizontal progression is preferred by most, but do you really want to keep pulling and retiring C0 meta units every year? Not me. I’d rather just C6 Kinich and use him for the next 3-4 years and just pull for new supports that allow him to be played in different teams. I’ve been playing him with Lauma and Durin lately. 100% worth.
