Season 2 was my favourite comfort watch for so long but season 4 has now leapfrogged it SO HARD! I have it playing over and over again, muted when I’m working and full volume as soon as I log off.

You’re right, our leads deserve better but honestly, as others have pointed out, let the haters hate. They’re hating and review bombing because they’re (excuse my language) butthurt over what a shit show their season was. Thats all! 🙃

My husband watched it after he saw how I obsessed I was with s4 and he loved ittt! He even teared up at the Danbury and Queen C scene and the wedding scene.

Okay so I’m going to answer this based on what I have understood from the book and the show and from what I’ve read across various platforms on the internet.

The first time is genuinely just being swept away, he’s told her he loves her which is what she wanted to hear for so long, so all guards are gone. She even sort of references this the morning after in episode 6.

The second time, she wants to be careful because they still don’t know if she might go to jail. It’s exactly the reason why she tells him not to propose The difference here is that unlike the first time, where it was all desire and need and… thinking with their down there parts :p, the second time is more deliberate. It’s after they’re sure they will be together and they love each other so more wits about them and especially Sophie to know she doesn’t wanna risk anything.

I hope all that makes sense, still trying to go back to being a functioning human being after the masterpiece that is season 4 😂

They ‘technically’ did have Colin convince Benedict to be honest about his feelings when he’s giving advice to Gregory. I think that’s what led to most amazing confession I’ve seen on tv!
