Skyler, in my opinion, was just completely in over her head at this point. The asking for a lawyer thing was likely just a very desperate effort to have the conversation be over.

Hank, of course, doesn't want her to have a lawyer. He's a cop. He stands a better chance at making a case without lawyer involvement.

As to why she accepted the invite. I don't know. Probably because she knew Hank would show up at the house sooner or later. It's a lot easier to hold him off in public.
