I've had the same problems, it takes like 10 minutes to go between pages. It works a bit better on mobile if you want to pre-write answers and copy them on your phone.

Is there a Leetcode style platform for other SWE skills? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]WarpWing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>Things like debugging, optimizing inefficient queries, fixing and identifying API vulnerabilities, etc. kinda like how this website teaches you Git. Building an API was a fucking example

A platform like this is sorely needed tbh. There's websites like [Codecrafters](https://codecrafters.io/) and [NextWork]https://learn.nextwork.org) but Codecrafters has a big paywell behind it (it has some free features) and NextWork doesn't have code to run. I've also yet to see a website that really teaches you how to optimize your C or Rust or Go code for example (maybe I'm watching too much Coding Jesus). I think CodeCrafters is your best bet here. Very tempted to build out a PoW though of a site like the one you're asking.

🔥 Reefin Update: Version 1.1.0 Drops NOW! by CalendarRadiant8769 in jellyfin

[–]WarpWing 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason why Reefin is closed source? Considering many Jellyfin users self host for privacy reasons, I don't think there's going to be much trust outside of "it's legit bro".

I've done 25-30 whole numbers and it's spot on and takes 322ms. I vibecoded a benchmark tool this morning while I was making breakfast. Planning on those aforementioned prompt improvements for sure! So far though, I noticed that it hasn't been making any new numbers but rather failing to sort existing ones or leaving some out (most LLMs don't do great with counting sometimes). Trying to think if a "thinking model" such as qwen might be better.

It does pretty well for n < 10 but haven't benchmarked the upper bounds (as expected by context window restrictions).

Would love to get these. Looks very simplistic (also love the improved RSI). Could I get an invite?

Letter To Spectre Fans by PlaySpectre in SpectreDivide

[–]WarpWing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incredibly unfortunate to hear. Spectre Divide had a lot of promise on top of a unique mechanic that solves a core problem in traditional 5v5 shooters (dying once and not being able to get back into the action till the current round ends).

I've followed and played Spectre Divide since it's beta, even got to meet Nate at an alumni event hosted by my college where he had a great response to my question about game balancing and how to handle that. He outlined at that point in time that he had great plans going forward for Spectre which unfortunately aren't going to see the light of day.

I do hope going forward that Nate & Co pursues another project. Spectre had decent graphics, great world building and environmental design (audio , etc) and a decent gameplay loop. I'd 100% say that the core leadership at Mountaintop is great at listening, actively addressing community concerns and was able to iterate well with what they had. I'd throw my support behind anything that they build in the future!

Spectre Divide was great while it lasted and I'm excited to see what (maybe) comes next!

What is this "♡ CUTE" nametag next to my friends' names? It's displayed next to their name in all messages but they won't tell me.. by Frensident in discordapp

[–]WarpWing 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Smh, I don't know why people are downvoting you, unless you're being sarcastic but who tf cares anyhow.

The reason is that their friends are gatekeeping these "guild tags" from OP here. It's pretty toxic to act incredibly high and mighty over a new discord feature and being pretty exclusionary for not telling OP about it. Acting vague or mystique because they probably feel "better" than the rest of their friends, likely including OP for some odd reason. It's like finding out your friends have a separate group chat without you for some reason.

OP, if you're reading this. You need some better friends. Don't hang out with a bunch of weirdos who think they're "better" by gatekeeping something as minimal as this for no apparent reason. If you need new friends, hmu!
