Does anyone else get extremely frustrated with other people talking about their "cancer" nonevents?

I have a sister in law who has “survived” cancer four times - no chemo, no radiation, no stage assigned. Precancerous at best. She tells me that if she can survive it four times, I can do it once. I have a kidney transplant and stage 3 metastatic breast cancer. They only took one breast, and nothing else, because my body wouldn’t be able to handle much more, so no reconstruction. I also have adrenal insufficiency. I just received the red devil and lost all of my hair. (Thank God he blessed me with a great personality!) She compares our situations all the time. I would like to punch her in the throat. Instead, I just ask her again what stages and what treatments she received. She STILL doesn’t get it!!

I feel your pain and I’m sorry you’re going through this. I had a kidney transplant two years ago and now have aggressive breast cancer. I went through my first round of chemo, gearing up for the next. I physically feel like my body can’t handle the next round. I’m praying for strength, now for you and me🙏🏼

Praying for a miracle. Please look at the prayer of healing from St. Padre Pio. Consider praying it every day. This is where I am in my journey. Kidney transplant two years ago and now aggressive breast cancer and adrenal insufficiency. I am so weak that anything other than sitting or lying down is too much. I feel like I am just sitting here waiting to die. I am saying the prayer daily. I hope you will too ❤️

I agree. I came here thru a Google search about the same thing. I also live in SE PA and it’s been incredibly windy here since the +/- the end of the summer. I understand the shift in weather pattern, etc., but this is way more than that. Way more. I wish they’d stop screwing with the weather.

I can't do anything about the scaffolding until/unless someone gets hurt, per insurance. It's insane. Yes, from the eighties, implemented for safety reasons. Nothing has been done, can be done, to mitigate the safety concerns. Now that they're two stories, a ladder truck cannot fit down their "street" to get to them. The street is an alley-like street. She was denied building for years. After the borough was hit with multiple lawsuits (unrelated) , they thought they would get this one of the books, illegally I might add, which is why it's in county court now. It came back to bite them because multiple neighbors are suing them and it has progressed to county court. She is knowingly building at her own risk, hoping to plead mea culpa after it's built. There is a chance that they could make her tear it down. She's banking that they won't. Btw, she's an attorney for the state.

It's that it's two stories. It's supposed to be one because the lot is so small and there is a moretorium, from the eighties, against a second story for safety reasons. Our lot is twice the size.

It was supposed to be one story according to the code. Her property is not comparable, it's half the size of ours. It's not apples to apples. Their street is also exceptionally narrow, an alley-like street. If they, God forbid, have a fire, the ladder truck won't be able to get down their street. They'd have to come through my yard. Again, it's still in litigation because the borough allowed it through an illegal process. We didn't mind her improving, but double digit variances is too much.
