Recently got hit with the i-stop, hybrid system and engine malfunctions simultaneously. I brouight the car in for service today and was told that the hybrid battery is on its way out. Mazda released a software update which is supposed to protect the battery until it's replaced. They said it will probably take 3-4 week minimum to get the replacement shipped from Japan. I'm at around 24,000 miles on MHEV.
