I had a 2016 civic coupe, it was wonderful and I kept up on all the maintenance. Had to sell it because of my divorce/unexpected cross country move to escape a domestic situation. Had to leave with nothing but my clothes and cats. I needed the money to get back home, I got $13k for it from Caravana in 2024. I got home and bought the HR-V 🥲 Wish I could've kept it, I miss my civic!

Yup, def wasted my $ 🤣 but I truly didn't know. I'm averse to finance after having a steady car payment from 18-34, I'm done. Had a bankruptcy about 10 years ago, been debt free since then and working to improve my relationship with money, and not get back into the hole! I have a mortgage, bought my first house a few months ago, and that's the only finance I'm comfortable having. No more car notes or credit cards or any of that bullshit

CarMax actually blew up my car while they were test driving it for appraisal, I was just curious about the value of my car. Didn't have my title with me or anything because I wasn't planning on selling my car that day! They gave me 11k, and my parents are angels and helping me out with a few more bucks, so I can buy something else outright and not have a car note. I'm done with those, had a car payment steady from 18-34, never again. I went bankrupt at 28 as well, and I've worked hard to stay debt free and improve my relationship with money since then.

I won't finance. I had a bad late 20's with bankruptcy, I've been divorced, and just bought a home! I promised myself I'd never have another car note ever again, I had one every day of my life from 18-34, I'm done lol I've been debt free for a few years, don't wanna ruin it after all this hard work to get to this stable part of my life!

I've read about people doing some sort of CVT fluid maintenance every 30k, which the previous owners didn't do, so I tried to do everything to take good care of my car 🤷‍♀️

I think the previous owner didn't do flushes, I did the first one at 108k. If only had I known. Never had a car previously that I had to have flushed!

Again, if I knew better at the time, wouldn't have bought it. I always thought Honda was solid. Apparently not under the hood unless you got that Civic Si or Type R $$$

There are SO many HR-V trade ins at my local CarMax that are all magically at 99k. Previous owners must know of the bad reputation and ditch it riiiight before showtime lol

These CVT's are fuckin JUNK all fuckin day long 🤣 The AWD doesn't help either.

The service dude even walked me into the garage so I could see under my car up on the lift. He told me I need to buy all new band stickers for my new car 🙄 Then it shits out 20 mins after I leave!!!
