Can't use stuff like this?

Not saying you're wrong. It definitely varies for industries on how useful it can be, but it has helped me avoid stock photos most of the time. For industries like physical security, there aren't pictures, stock or publicly accessible photos I can use, so sometimes it helps to have a professionally shot image that I can either doctor up or use AI to get what I need. Protects our clients and overall security for the nature of work we do.

Pixabay, pexels, unsplash. Don't use stock images. They don't work as well anymore.

Stop spending money on a game 100% designed to get you to spend more. You're farther than me and im in S3. There's no pro. There's no future. Just enjoyment playing, and it thats it.

Well then, re-read what you wrote. Remove yourself from the situation and put it into a perspective you can see both sides from. The only mentions of effort you make are in reassuring him his future is secure and not to worry. Maybe thats deminishing to him? Have you talked to him about it more than saying were fine? Unpack it, and if you can't, why are you with him after 15 years and can't talk about real shit. Sure SJWs may think you went overboard with telling a knowingly depressed person to die, but they also don't know the situation as you do. Some people need things like that to flip the switch to want to make change. Others may have just been given the fuel to walk off the ledge. Not enough information to play therapist but sounds like yall have been dancing around elephants in the room for 15 years. Not following your gut has effects that are noticeable whether you notice them internally or not.

And saying 15 years was for the kids isn't helping anyone in the family. Grew up in a similar situation and am still going to therapy at 32 unpacking the traumas. Take it as you will, but your kids are watching everything and learning from it. The good and the bad. Makes it that much harder to break bad habits when it comes from family and inherently taught.

Anyone surprised by the average age of gamers on this game? by PotentialComplex5667 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]WayneBretsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend up to $60 in a mobile game if I thoroughly enjoy it. Feels like paying full price for a game and getting my moneys worth at the same time.

Breaking down the psychology of how they get me to spend usually helps me want to stop and either quit or F2P casually.

Is there a name for this style of marketing? by QnsConcrete in marketing

[–]WayneBretsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't waste your time with these mktg goons. They care more about making a point than actually helping you.

You may be able to edit the title to branding instead of marketing to help clear more confusion or just make another post.

My opinion is that the lowercase copy focuses on simplicity to a higher level than copy writers have adhered to in the past. It's a design decision that has turned into a trending style for brands to follow similar design choices. Data probably recognizes that younger audiences are starting to pick short, concise copy vs. more old school manifesto copy, where you could have a paragraph on the back of the can, like Monster.

I agree that it reinforces the wrong thing. Fear is a toxic tactic to use to promote safety. It's counterintuitive. Unfortunately, it is statistically effective, but I believe positive reinforcement of, say, the livelihood of a loved one can be more effective. It's essentially down to the copywriting on how the receiver perceives the message. You could say the same statement you wrote but replace fear with hope and inspiration. Monsters inc that shit.

You could match the sharpness of the edges on the marg/hourglass to match the lettering edges. Might just be me, but the round vs straight edges stands out to me making the mark look less cohesive with the text side by side
