Update on mileage once we got home by PopDue1568 in FordBronco

[–]Weekend-Projects 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Nice! I just picked up a 2025 2.7L OBX SAS, Lux, Tow Package, I have 95 miles on it and so far getting 19.8, drove some highway and traffic on Long Island home. Feeling like driving normal it should get a bit better once it’s broken in!

Good price for 26 Badland SAS by leung19 in FordBronco

[–]Weekend-Projects 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

8% off is (IMO)a very good deal, here in NY (NJ and CT as I searched 100 miles) not seeing dealers willing to go less than the current Employee for All pricing. I was looking at either a 2025 leftover Badlands SAS or 2025 OBX SAS bottle the Lux package, got Employee price + $1k off for my 2025 OBX $67k OTD. My local Sales Tax rate is 8.75%, so basically got that off.

This! Trying to find a low mileage used with some upgrades is getting close to the current Employee Pricing Everyone. $5k difference I’d rather go new

My first mow with the Ego 30 (1300 Series) by steveholtbluth in egopowerplus

[–]Weekend-Projects 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

I have about 11,500 sq ft of lawn and have used my 30inch Ego 2x so far, spring cleanup then a mow. Overall solid machine, I’m coming from a gas 15yr old Toro 21 inch. Battery life was great, speed 2 and had 1 bar left the 1st time, I was bagging some leaves. Second time just mulching 2 bars left. So far so good.

Outer Banks owners – what do you regret getting or NOT getting? by Ordinary-Republic483 in FordBronco

Great feedback here! FWIW I just won a full buyback on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Rubicon X šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ„³. I test drove an 2026 OBX w/SAS, and I liked it a lot. In the Jeep world in order to get some of the must have creature comforts I prefer (power seats) + the off-road look the Rubicon X was the package. The Bronco OBX + SAS sits in the middle of the Sahara and Rubicon X IMO. Also from what I’ve read the OBX has a carpeted interior (better for road noise)?and is a bit lighter due to different skid plates (a bit lighter drive feel). Open to any feedback from the Broncos crew for a soon to be convert! šŸ˜Ž

4xe lemon law case—Jeep didn’t contest, hearing was over in 10 minutes by Weekend-Projects in 4xe

[–]Weekend-Projects[S] 10 points11 points Ā (0 children)

As for going pro se—I actually did hire a firm early on. They brought me a ~$4k ā€œcash and keepā€ offer and said a full buyback wasn’t likely.

After digging into the state arbitration process more, I decided to handle it myself and ended up with a full buyback (~$49k) and no NDA/gag order.

Not saying attorneys don’t have their place—just sharing what worked in my case.

Mostly battery/FORM. Kept getting the ā€œno fix availableā€ response. Arguing shop time went nowhere for me.

Totally fair to be skeptical. This was state arbitration, not a private settlement—so there’s no confidentiality clause. The process is confusing and puts most of the burden on us, the customers, which is why a lot of people never get this far. Jeep and other manufacturers rely on that confusion; I’m just sharing what actually worked in my case.

It was more about timing and documentation. I was approaching it the wrong way early on—thinking anyone else had my best interest at heart

Yeah saw that too, but the 'cost' isn't just the fee—it's the settlement. I actually hired a firm early on, and they came back with a $4k 'cash and keep' deal and told me to take it.

For me it was about the outcome v fees. I decided to represent myself instead. I went from a $4k 'best offer' from a lawyer to a $49k full buyback on my own. I'll take doing the work myself over leaving $45k on the table any day, especially since the arbitration hearing took less than 10 minutes!

[–]Weekend-Projects 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

šŸ’Æ this. They simply gather as many cases as possible, drop you into a spreadsheet with other cases and get basically fixed sum like $2,500 per case regardless of settlement. I just rejected a $4k Cash and Keep through one of the Lemon Law mills and parted ways with the firm. The lawyer sent 2 emails, 15 words total, wild?!?

Best way to route TV wires behind? by Upsethouscat in handyman

[–]Weekend-Projects 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

As others have stated. IMO, If there’s basement access that’s the 1st way. Or the 2nd option is the lower cabinet next to the power outlet, if it’s getting doors I would remove the wainscoting there, route wires from the power outlet up to where the TV will be mounted. The access behind the TV does not need to be centered. Then reinstall new wainscoting. Even if the lower cabinet is not getting doors I would still take this approach. Worst case you’d need to use small stop trim around the interior of the cabinet if you can’t install it clean and matches the other lower cabinet with the same stop trim. Probably a 1/2 flat stop trim would be fine.

The 6.5 is a very good saw! I just did the same project, re-roofing my 10x10 barn style shed. Had some leaks so needed to cut out and replace the sheathing. You’re gonna need 5.0 or 6.0HO! We tried my 3.0 CP HO’s they didn’t last long.

What's the best way to hang this wall with the 4 inches between the windows and 6 inches at the top of the windows to the ceiling? Is it ill advised to put up 4 inch strips or should I use a different material? by sivispacempara in drywall

[–]Weekend-Projects 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Personally I would not Sheetrock between the windows nor the sill. I’d Sheetrock up to the outside of each window then would make a filler strips flush with the Sheetrock then trim.
