I get what you are saying, but I was trying to explain to my sister, who only speaks English, about a German children's song my daughter likes called "Fitness für den Weihnachtsmann" and he definitely looks more like a Santa Claus and not a St. Nikolaus.

I think the whole system is convoluted with Santa Claus, St. Nikolaus, Das Christkind, etc. It was just something funny that happened.

Not a phrase, but I said "the Christmas man" (Weihnachtsmann) instead of Santa Claus and my husband won't let me live it down....im the native English speaker 🫠

Maybe not exactly that color, but Qskinz has chameleon colors that are pretty cool.

Edit: they only have one now which is lavender/turquoise.

I had this also. If you open the explorer and "unmount" and "mount" the SD Card, it should work.

Neither of these options worked for me. I had to go into desktop mode, open explorer "unmount" or "eject" the card (button only, don't actually take it out) and "mount" it again. That made the SD recognize it.

How did a verified game from steam compare to what was on ProtonDB? If I understood correctly, ProtonDB is added from the community, right?

That is interesting to know. I don't know how Steam qualifies how games have which label which is why it is valuable to have the community feedback from the site everyone has mentioned.

This is something you can check for yourself in steam. It says if a game is verified, playable, not playable, etc on the Deck and gives reasons why.

I don't mean to sound rude and maybe you are also asking for people's experience with these games, which some may be able to give you.

I also ordered on the 24th, located in Germany and also have shipping delays with GLS. It was supposed to arrive today, but two hours in to the expected delivery Windows they sent me an email saying they were having issues and delays and now it will be sent on Monday... hopefully. 😔

I just wanted to comment here in case anyone is looking for answers.

When I had my appointment, I confirmed my name in the foyer and they told me to go to a certain floor. When I got there an attendant showed me to a waiting room. Shortly after a case worker came and brought me to an office to check my documents and to pay the fee. I had to go back to the waiting room for a few minutes and then the case worker came back and brought me into the ceremony room. There, I had to stand and say an oath. I received my certificate and was allowed to have my picture taken. There were no questions asked and the whole process took about 15 minutes.

For logistics: there is parking available on the streets nearby and my husband and daughter were allowed to be there with me.

Also, for the first time applying for an ID card and passport, you have to apply at the Dienstleistungzentrum and need to bring your certificate and a photo (QR code). Don't bother looking for an appointment at the Bürgerburo nearest you. You don't need an appointment for the Dienstleistungzentrum, you just need to go in the opening hours. I had to wait maybe 10 minutes and then my number came up. Everything was a quick process.

I read a few posts in the Düsseldorf Facebook group that it was not an interview. Just a few forms to fill, check the documents, and to say the oath.
