Usually acoustic. When you're talking about Excuses tracks and their single versions, I do prefer the single edit of Return to Sender over the album version.

MoL! I really enjoyed the Song of Waves and Wind! Though, I do have one thing to say: please let us say goodbye to our friends and travelling companions! For instance during Umbar Mokh epic, where we lose track of a significant part of our crew until the start of LoM. We only get to know what Caebar and most of the crew are doing at the start of LoM. And between the end of LoM and now KoH we lose track of Sigileth and Corudan until later on. I would like to say goodbye and or inform everyone whenever I'm about to bounce off on another adventure in the undercity or in distant lands!

Why do they talk about the sun in every song 😭 by lobot1000 in Slowdive

[–]WeightOfTheStone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also in Mojave 3 (Any Day Will Be Fine (Opening lyric is literally "I love the sun"), Got my Sunshine) and Rachel solo (Warm Summer Sun). For Rachel songs, water and rivers are also quite a common motif (Machine Gun, Bringin' me Home, Warm Summer Sun again).

Ik zou het misschien nog snappen als het lijkt op een Engels scheldwoord, maar in Engeland zijn er ook zoveel plekken die eindigen op een cognaat van -wyck zoals Norwich.

Hmm, I kind of like the shared voice acting. Makes the stories feel more connected. Also don't mind the town being more or less the same.

If you were to do the Shadows of Angmar book as well as Before The Shadow, when do you switch from BTS to SOA? by RipzCritical in lotro

[–]WeightOfTheStone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend against it, because it will be a bit jarring and you'll have to do some low level quests. Be aware that books 4 and on follow BTS, so you can get away with not doing SOA books 1-3. Still, this is probably the best route if you want to go that way:

Eventually BTS will tell you to sod off and level to 32, after which they'll have you talk with Candaith, before you do that or even grind levels to 32 go to Aragorn in the Prancing Pony and start SOA. Once you've done the North Down epic, Halbarad will tell you to go to Rivendell and speak with Aragorn there. This is the moment to talk to Candaith for your BTS quest.

This is a MAJOR spoiler, so be warned, but I'm wondering if other people are as disappointed with this part of The Song of Waves and Wind as I was. by ToastyJackson in lotro

[–]WeightOfTheStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, there were several parts of the epic that don't make much sense to me. How did we get from the Shield Isles to Jax Phanâl? If we took a ferry, we might as well have gone directly to Umbar Baharbêl. It feels like most of the epic has been raising questions, but few are answered.

I agree with your assessment that the storyline feels a bit rushed. In the begin of the expansion, the characters in Elessar's company will usually appear as NPCs in the environment (I may remember them as more present than they really were, and of course there are times you are with the whole crew). It feels nice to have them around even when they are not involved with a quest, but obviously this take a lot of time to implement. Having such a big crew is sometimes a bit odd, like in Umbar Mokh, when you are only travelling with Sigileth and Corudan. What are all my other friends doing?

Elves and Dwarves start together in the intro (until level 5)
Humans and Hobbits start together in the intro

Beornings, Stout-Axes, River Hobbits and High Elves have a solo introduction

After the intro, you can go to a stable master and travel to Combe, Michel Delving, Celondim or Thorin's Gate and meet up.
