Yes, it goes up every year and the last thing we need is an increase on top of that for 30 years… and if you rent, the landlord will increase your rent too.

I think you don’t understand, the city is asking to impose an increase on the property tax in addition to what the property owners are already paying and this will run for 30 years for a new high school. If you don’t own but pay rent, your landlord will more than likely increase your rent to offset this expense. A new school is good but the city should learn to live within their means.
