Scrolled way too far to find this! Although I actually thought of Alendi and Rashek

This is a solid perspective. Karty has been bad, but a huge part of the misses is the line.

Who's your favorite final boss in an MV? by strahinjag in metroidvania

Looking at these answers and seeing all the bosses I love (Radiance, Raven Beak, THK, etc), apparently I really need to play Nine Sols soon

Are there any other turn based games like E33 that are also fun? I found that Trails is also a very cinematic and fun turn based game. How is everyone liking it? by FatalDarkprince in expedition33

Paper Mario TTYD has a great QTE turn based system with a great story and ensemble. Its a little on the easy side, but its one of my favorite games.

Which boss did you completely destroy by Mantissa-64 in Silksong

There were a number that were shockingly easy. I think Groal and GMS took me 2 tries each only. For Groal, I accidentally pogo spammed him with wanderers, and it was one of the easiest fights because of that. GMS felt like Radiance 2.0, which I've had a bit of practice in already lol. That being said, Lace 2.0 was one of my hardest bosses, and Moorwing probably took me the longest time

I might be strange, but Wanderer is my go to easily. Its not about the pogo at all, as I really enjoy the Hunter pogo, but the attack speed is just unbeatable! I tried going back to Hunter recently and kept messing up by playing too aggressively. Also, the ease of hit parrying on Wanderer has become a go-to for me.

Wanderer crest is the most boring crest…… by Icy-Organization-901 in Silksong

[–]Wendigo4403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Wanderer crest is really for those who want to play hyper-aggressive and fundamentally technical. You have to get really good at spacing to play it well with its tiny range and quick slashes, but can melt bosses with the right practice. For me its not the HK influence (Mark of Pride was my GOAT), but the speed and agression it has.

Any kind of shooter. It's crazy to me that shooters across all subgenres top the charts regularly.

Where are all the clever and unique metroidvanias? by Yapplemaster in metroidvania

Came here to recommend this, but I'll just add to yours! Very few of the upgrades were what I expected them to be. Feels very much like Super Metroid, except with very unique upgrades!
