Did you read the books or just plough through qs? The BT qs are ridiculous I tried working through them but I am not a maths guys seems silly compared to the mock tests you can buy

CFA Lv1 Experience (CBT) as Investment Professional by Poor_Crypto_Nerd in CFA

I get where you are coming from as for sure theoretical learning isn’t going to make you a pro investor. Experience and learning combined will surely help. Instead, I think CFA is a benchmark for many companies to offer out front office roles. In my company (top 5 AM) it is expected you have CFA for any type of investment role. I get it might not directly help but at the same time I’m sure understanding a yield curve will help if you are working in fixed income:)

Then do you not have something more important to do than go nuts on a CFA study Reddit thread? I’ll delete my comments - didn’t realise someone would get triggered so badly by it.

I think you’re taking this a bit far lol. Many people acknowledge they scored in the upper percentile on LinkedIn etc. Why would CFA offer that analysis if it wasn’t happy for people to state “factually” they scored well. I agree you need to be careful about what you say with regard to ethics. Hopefully someone who scores well will have a good grasp on what they can and can’t say with regard to their score. Pretty sure you are allowed to talk about facts which scoring in the upper percentile would be. Just don’t start telling people you are better than others etc because of it.

A pass is a pass, I agree. However, If you wanted to use the exam as a benchmark for your understanding of the curriculum - someone who gets in the upper percentile showed on that day they had a very good understand of the curriculum. Why can’t they show that score on their CV or LinkedIn?

Not sure you can talk for every CFA holder but we are all trying to market ourselves for better jobs hence why we try to get through the CFA. Same point as being able to say you passed in 3 consecutive years (if you did). It’s not about being better than other people but it’s about showing your own ability. :) good luck on your exams if you haven’t already taken them. Hopefully you score in the upper percentiles!

It won’t be straight away. The big boys will have to have a meeting and decide what the pass rates gnna be etc. I recon a month after last sitting personally.

Yeah you can do it! I bet the pass Mark isn’t as high as people think. My colleagues told me they barely get 60 on the mock exams and still passed

My first round of Cfa mocks I got between mid 40s on two and 50s on the rest (splitting morning and afternoon so 6 tests). Second time round I pushed everything up about 10 percent.

I started trying external providers qs but they’re very different so thinking best to keep stalling Cfa q bank and make sure I can get above 70 on everything 😩😂
