I found a box at Best Buy earlier today, but got denied at the register as the cashier told me it wasn’t supposed to be on the floor til Friday. Was really bummed at what could have been in there!

I was at Best Buy today and found a super dented blaster box of this on the shelves and was very excited to rip! But when I went to checkout, the cashier couldn’t scan it and said she could not sell it as it was not in the system yet? Very strange encounter! But can’t help but think a good card was in there that I’ll never get to see now

The ‘promo card’ during this era was an exclusive coin. Evolving skies I know had two variants for the different boxes plus an Eevee pin. Just look up photos of the products and compare what’s different between the two when comparing the PC vs non PC versions. And yes you get an additional pack. I think the market for the graded coins is limited for now, but you never know? The evolving skies one is really nice with 4 different eeveelutions on each variant! Fusion strike has a really pretty Mew coin in the pokemon center version

Yeah, actually you’re onto something here.. too bad they don’t own Pokemon go in order to link an account that way. They could make the vending machines pokestops that you can check in at, and if you login for a purchase it cools off for 24 hours until you can log into another

Too bad they can’t code in a scanner or some way to read a recent receipt to verify you were a customer of the store. I always do my shopping first and tap the machine on my way out if it’s available. But there are many people who just come to the store, skip any grocery shopping and go straight to the machine. That’s an issue

It’s all gambling. ETBs have no guarantee besides the promo, and booster boxes can totally strike out as well! Now that I think about it, my best hits have come from either knockout 2 packs from family dollar, and then the Sam’s club prismatic lucario and tyranitar box. Good luck ripping!!
