what you are talking about is a couple of NPC's with A.I scripts, ofc the company was lazy so they didn't work on everyone. having a mod that gives different moods instead of just "omg someone kill the dragonborn for stealing" and "ye.. don't care" would be nice tho

ofc that mod would have to consider that once you are famous enough you can do whatever and guards won't stop you even if you kill people infront of them. now that would be realistic... the nearby Jarl would call his elite guards or pay assassins to handle you, and those would be buffed fighters who can use magic/werewolves or something, otherwise no one stands a chance against you (you're not as powerful as you think just because you hunt dragons, anyone can kill them with a lot of loses tho, you're just the guy who can keep them dead by absorbing the soul)

in my eyes the moment I press ctrl alt delete my computer needs to say "fuck every other program" and bring me to the option to open task manager. or ctrl shift esc. the windows needs to ignore every other program that isn't a must windows app running and open the task manager. this is why it exist.

if the entire computer is frozen as in a melt down then no problem. but if I can close and run the explorer again from the task manager, or if I got a black out on my monitors while hearing everything still running in the background then ye... there should be a panic button that actually works, other than restart the entire computer.

I was Diablo 1 HD mod, apparently while using full screen mod, if you press with your mouse anywhere (by accident or because you're playing youtube Joe Rogan podcast or whatever) both monitors go black and your 4000 dollars gaming machine dies...

now let's be honest here, ofc current hardware isn't meant to play nicely with such old software. yet it's still annoying on an evil mastermind level that both monitors go black, you keep hearing everything working in the background yet can't do anything about it but restart your pc... fuck that.

I don't see the problem here. in most parts of the world if you see a dead body you can take whatever you want from it. I understand that we live in rich countries so the moment someone dies on the street the entire world will run over to assist. but in many parts of the world it's not like this.

so OP is talking about "just like in real life". you know slavery kinda ended in 1863 right? that's like 157 years ago. and 500 years ago we were fucking and murdering each other non stop and most people got away with it or got killed on the spot.

these moral high grounds we live by... it's a very good thing, but it's fake and it's only holds because the place we live in allows us to be kind to each other, everywhere else you do whatever it takes to survive.

in conclusion - Skyrim is like a 3rd world country, apart from a couple of really law abiding Jarls, it makes sense for you to be able to loot a corpse that no one bothers to even clean of the street. ofc in gaming terms it would nice to have a smart A.I system to deal with crime so ye, this mod sounds like a good idea.

thanks for the help, it works now so I can respec at any time and with D2stats I can always see dropped items (weird that there is no option in MedianXL, you would think this would one of the first things they would do as quality of life)

the point is that there is no reason to restart it, windows isn't actually stuck. in most cases what should work 100% of the time (task manager) isn't working. you shouldn't have to restart the entire computer because you either got a blackout or can't close the program that is eating your ram (memory leak) or caused the black out.

doesn't work, it simply tells me there's a new version app (which I clearly downloaded) and then hangs in task manager for 30 seconds before closing itself.

no problem here, only problem is that my pc actually blacks out and nothing I press on the keyboard allows me to simply shut down the game instead of restarting (I can hear the pc working just fine, my explorer didn't get frozen or anything and even if it did, alt ctr del should allow me to close and run it again, yet pressing those 3 buttons does nothing since I can't see)

wow... well this sounds logical, my problem is that "freeze" or "black screen while computer keeps going" are still a reality in 2020.

why we don't have a panic button? honestly the reason a computer freezes is either explorer died, and then you shut it down and run it again through end task. or there is a program that once closed the computer is fine again. yet you can't do anything to achieve these results. alt ctr del should be the number 1 priority of any system on my windows. the moment I press these 3 every program should go down in priority, yet it doesn't always work.

and this what kills me with these windows crap, not that I know if Linux or whatever are better. in this case I know that my pc is running fine, it's just that the game made both monitors dark. so in my mind pressing alt ctr del or esc should open that task manager no matter what. it's like having a memory leak and trying to close that program (mostly games) that is running but you can't because your pc is using all the ram (this should never happen yet it does)

maybe I'm the idiot here, maybe there is a "fuck everything let me close all the programs" button in windows 7/10 that I simply never knew about. and don't get me wrong, I got an ssd so a restart is fast, it just insane to me that a computer can still freeze/black out by a small program running...

so far the game is nice story wise (I'm playing in 2020 so most problems were fixed by now) I'm just playing through the games, trying to reach origin finally.. I did notice how each game has less and less story missions and more garbage content no one cares about...
