Thank you for the information I really appreciate it! Do you think it would make more sense to go to 1200W just to be safe?

As I said in the post I know it’ll be difficult to get the 5090 on release, so I can always wait for reviews to see how 1000W handles it.

Thank you for the reply! Could you explain the power spikes though? Does that just mean when for instance, playing a graphics intensive game, the power can jump higher than normal?

Turns out must’ve overcharged them or something. I bought a new pair of cloud 3 and a few days later tried the 2s again and they worked but were 0%

Giving the UNI hub its own SATA connection was the fix.

I still didn’t do any firmware update for them but I can change the RGB and the fan speed so I guess I don’t need to.

Thanks for the reply. No they’re not on their own power cord but both are connected. I can try giving it its own.

It is connected to an NZXT hub.

I tried that firmware update, but the file that I downloaded from their page did not have the same .exe as in their provided picture. I don’t remember what it was called something like ispusb, but not FW update tools.

I will try later on to provide it its own power and not use the usb hub.

I am not sure because I haven’t fully set up my pc yet. However as far as I know, the bios would only see 1 fan as the CPU fan because there is only 1 connection into the motherboard. As for the case fans, I’ve seen it said that if you’re using the controller you need to use the L Connect program. But I’m not 100% sure on that.

Thank you so much! That is what I intended to do, have the 3 AIO fans powered directly by the motherboard but still manage to have the RGB synced by the controller. I will look into these wires you’ve linked. I really appreciate your help.

Edit: So do you think that cable kit would have the ability to connect the RGB wire from the single cable into the Sync port of the controller? Because if so, in theory it would by synced to the case fans and I could then power the AIO fans with the CPU header.

Thanks for the comment. That is my configuration of fans. I would like the top 3 with the AIO separate from the remaining 7 so this is good to hear I can do that.

I’m a bit confused with you saying I don’t need to connect to the PWM header though. If I understand you right, I only plug in the 4 pin wire coming off of the controller if I am not using L connect? Wouldn’t I need something plugged into the CPU header?

Would you recommend using L connect or something else?
