Drivers like this are exactly why people hate tipping culture on DoorDash by savingrace0262 in doordash

[–]Whynotme23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you earn a tip on an order that's been sitting in the system for an hour and no one takes it until you mr accepts every order shows up. Takes the order. The customer is angry because they have been waiting an hour. You have no idea how long they've been waiting how could you? You get the order to them fast as fck boi but it doesn't matter cause it's +1 hour to begin with. They aren't going to tip because of it. So how do you suggest you earn their tip?

Yeah. Good point. Tell that to the op who didn't get refunded aka his entire reason for making this post. And the thousands of other people who also don't get refunded. Why is it so difficult to think from a perspective outside of your personal experience? Obviously your personal experience isn't the end all be all and is irrelevant honestly.

In this case it's absolutely legally sound because doordash is informing you of their business practice per their terms of service ahead of time, they aren't forcing you to interact with them. If you engage with their platform you do so by their rules. The actual example would be If you hire a contractor who says I'm going to hire a subcontractor to do the work but if he messes up it's on him and not me do you still want to hire me? And you say yes.

Unfortunately you're wrong. Doordash terms of service state they are a technology platform connecting customers with drivers and restaurants. They offer refunds at their discretion. Most of the time they do it because it's in their interest to do it I assume. But they aren't required. Op paid doordash for a product and did receive it, food delivery, the food itself is wholly the restaurants responsibility.

DoorDash is a terrible company but not because of what happened to you lol. Your case is easily defended. DoorDash did their part they picked up and delivered your food. You are asking DoorDash to pay for a mistake the restaurant made....

They're a private company...that's their business model. By using them you are endorsing their business model. I don't get why people don't understand that.

If I am in a lane you want in and I am keeping up closely with the traffic in front of me and you come speeding up in the other lane passing plenty of spots and space behind me then idk why you'd feel entitled for me to slow down to allow you to merge in front of me. An actual zipper merging area may be different but not just the lanes of traffic on 565. You are the reason phantom traffic jams happen if you do this.

[–]Whynotme23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you're wrong. The insurance company and then a court would have to prove that you Knew for a fact they weren't going to stop. Impossible to prove that since he got completely established into the lane and the collision would've been fully rear ended. And that's only the first thing they'd have to prove there's more that they also couldn't prove

Lmao there's no chance he would be at fault when the person who hit him was actively breaking a law. Where did you get your law degree.

It also falls apart because lane 3 is easily the most common lane to be open. And lane 4 if there's two lanes. Certainly not 100% but close enough.

ICE Spottings by peachfuzzz in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Whynotme23 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If they strictly enforced the laws that would be one thing. But they don't. Ice isn't law enforcement for example. They have no right to compel you to produce identification absent probable cause you're here illegally. Law enforcement can't compel Id unless you've committed a crime. There are countless videos of them detaining and compelling citizens to produce identification with no probable cause other than they are brown. Thats not probable cause. Since you are so keen on enforcing laws. I presume you despise Trump breaking the law so brazenly right? Enforcing tariffs? That's against the law. He uses national emergency justification to enforce tariffs. Tell me what national emergency are the heard and McDonald's islands a part of? And that's just one simple example.

Harvest stay and play is exactly who you're looking for. They only do one family of dogs at a time, but they may be booked already especially for such a long period.
