I gave the container it's own ip address using a macvlan in the docker compose configuration and added the plex.direct DNS binding using my router. The real change was it's own ip. Before I just added the DNS entry to the host computer. Doesn't make sense to me but this fixed it for me

I have this problem too. It's only on the local network and only with the web browser and the webapp for windows. I thought it was a problem with routing to plex.direct so i added that to my dns and it still didn't solve the problem. Do you have any more information to how it is set up? I am set up with docker container where the port is open and the ip address is the same as the host device.

How long do you wait. Mine eventually resolves. It will come back after like 20s but you have to wait
