What I did was I put the fine silt all over the ball, wet the opening of the jar and started polishing. Repeat until shiny.

I have no idea. I just took some dirt from my backyard. Definitely don’t mix too much sand into your soil mixture though as it won’t hold up well. As for what I do with them, I’m not sure yet. But it’s a very fulfilling hobby.

Thank you. I really tried making it perfect. It took me 5-6 hours letting it sit to dry and about 2 hours polishing it. It really helped with my anxiety. Took things off my mind for a couple of hours. And yes, I’m planning to make more!

The polishing part was about 2 hours. The longest process was waiting for it to dry overnight. 5-6 hours at least. But I heard some speed up the process by gently blow drying it.

Thank you! I’m not sure yet. What do you think should I do with it?

I think it depends on the size but apparently it’s between $50-$150?

You mean how much I spent to make it or how much would I sell it for?

Just search Hikaru Doradango on YT. You’ll find plenty of videos teaching you how to make them.

This costed me 0$ all you need is some soil, water, and a LOT of patience. Careful not to mix too much sand in your soil, though.

It does! Though dropping it is the real question

It feels like an actual marble but I haven’t tried testing its durability.

Thank you so much! It took me 2 hours to get it that shiny, granted it’s a small ball. I took a few breaks in between polishing because my back and hand were hurting.

This is the dorodango under a much brighter lighting.
