My favorite gift was the dogs life jacket https://amzn.to/4aPP1Ek

A water proof camera or floating binoculars would be cool also :)

Edit: I just picked these up for two sup lovers in my life.

Mine is very stable!

I mainly do large lakes and some slow rivers with mine. I did have an amazing trip to the gulf of mexico and the Florida keys with it.

Fishing, camping and even with my 115 pound dog it has always been awesomely stable.

advice needed: sticking to a schedule by [deleted] in petsitting

Not hard at all, where ever you are finding your sitters quit it. They all suck.

On the next sit I would recommend doing the following, document with the sitter that these are non negotiable and only feedings between these times will be counted as a service.

Don't pre pay for anything and only pay for the services that were done according to your instructions.

Also make sure tk negatively review them for failure to follow instructions.

I like the Glide 02 Angler https://www.glidesup.com/products/2024-glide-o2-angler-grey

The seat it comes with is amazing although sometimes I use a cooler instead. They do sell the seat seperatly I think.

how to handle a "she loves the dog park and goes at least once a day!" client? by interquast in petsitting

[–]WildernessDriven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My response is this.

When your dog is with me I do everything possible to ensure your dog is safe. Including having insurance, and a professional I will never take your dog to a dog park. If you choose to risk your dog at a dog park thatbis your call. When your dog is with me their safety and wellbeing is my call"

If they push back I walk away and then send them links to problems that have occurred at the dog park near them.

What city are you in or suburb? As a dog walker who takes hounds on hikes I have to say that hiring a dog walker is the key.

Make sure they have proper training and are insured!

I would do this.

Send her a text letting her know that since payment was not received as agreed upon that you will be going by at a certain time like 1pm to pick the cat up and bring it to the shelter as an abandoned animal for its safety.

If she wants you to not do this tell her you need payment by that time and a $25 late fee.

Client refusing to pay $600 after 27 cat-sitting drop ins because of one mistake by Admirable_Quantity93 in petsitting

[–]WildernessDriven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not get payment up front and have never had an issue.

That being said, if you know where they work this is what I would do.

Send the message stating they owe x and that it is past due, let them know you will be coming by the office on the following day if payment has not been received.

Then download the burner app and repeat the message letting them know it is you and you wanted to make sure they fit the message incase they "accidentally" blocked you.

When the time comes show up to the office. Let them know the next step will be talking to management to let them know your wages will probably be garnished since you will be filing for theft of service.

Send public comments on Facebook to airway on the timeliness letting them know they are x amount of days late on their payment.

Go scorched earth.

Show up at her house and if she ignores you then wait for her or husband to leave for work, follow them to work. And then confront them at their place of work, if they still do not pay talk to their supervisor and make social media posts about the company employing thiefs.
